Lauren Stensrud

Registered Massage Therapist, Access Bars Practitioner

Lauren believes that healing is unique to the individual, based on their personal health journey. Due to that, her treatments may involve the use of Subconscious Imprinting, Access Bars, Massage, Visceral Manipulation, Cupping and Physiokey Key Therapy. Each treatment customized to address your individual goals.

By utilizing a combination of both clinical and holistic techniques, Lauren aims to help her clients achieve harmony in their body. She believes that to achieve whole body health, it involves empowering her clients, teaching them to compassionately connect with their body and identifying root cause - rather than treating symptoms.

This allows her clients to gain awareness of how intertwined these facets of mind, body and soul are, they are then able to give more of themselves to others and to pursue what they love with ease.

When Lauren isn’t practicing, you can find her curled up with some tea and a good book, frequenting local cafes and restaurants (she’s always happy to take suggestions), belting out to some great tunes because of her excellent music taste and spending time with friends and family

Registered Yoga Teacher

Kari has always been into body movement and self expression. She took her 200 RYT in May 2019 at the Sattva School of Yoga in Edmonton, and has been practicing yoga for four years now. Her primary style is Vinyasa flow/ Ashtanga, but enjoys all types of yoga. She has also graduated from Personal Fitness Training, a 2 year course at Nait in May 2021. Kari loves to explore the hidden secrets that lay within the human body and the exploration of how movement can decongest and open new pathways within our consciousness. She believes keeping a happy body will lead to a happy mind and happy spirit.

Due to the nature of her own practice, Kari loves dynamic, breath pumping sessions where each posture breaks through a threshold of patterns, in order to reach untouched sacred space within body and mind. She uses specific breathing techniques and meditation inducers (such as singing bowl therapy, and incense) to simultaneously soothe and relax the body through its intensity. Kari is very much drawn to the spiritual and metaphorical teachings that yoga has to offer.

When Kari is not practicing yoga, She is singing early 2000’s RnB music, taking pole fitness classes, swimming at one of the recreational centers or taking a nice walk in the river valley
